The new Polygon Entiat TR-E is a rugged pedal assist trail bike that’s ready to take you on off-road adventures you never thought were possible.
The Entiat TR-E utilises Shimano’s STEPS E8020 proven performance motor. It is optimized for off road use with more torque to help you climb steeper, technical hills. The Bluetooth compact display is easy to use without needing to let go of the handlebar. Personalize your assist mode settings by choosing Dynamic, Explorer or Custom to perfectly match your riding style and intended terrain. Many brands now use the Shimano E8020 system, however, Polygon has integrated the 504 watt-hour battery into the down tube maintaining the sleek looks of a traditional mountain bike, while making it easy to disconnect for charging.
The Entiat TR-E is built around Polygon’s trail ready ALX Boost alloy frame, an efficient aluminum design that combines durability and performance with the new BOOST system (hub system originally developed by SRAM – 12x148mm rear, 15x110mm front). With wider Boost hub flanges, it allows the spokes on the wheelset to make a wider triangle which results in more support for the rim and a stronger overall wheel. Compared to a regular hardtail mountain bike which is normally designed for XC riding, the slacker head angle (66.5 degrees) combined with the shorter chainstays allow the bike to be ridden in more vertical environments. Along with the inherent cushion of the oversized wheels and tires, a Rockshox Recon Silver front suspension fork with 120mm of travel and hydraulic lockout helps soak up the bumps.
The Entiat TR-E groupset combines a 1 x 11 Shimano Deore XT drivetrain with a Shimano XT Crankset running a Narrow-Wide 32T chainring. Shifting is supported with Shimano XT triggers and Shimano’s M6000 hydraulic disc brakes take care of the stopping power providing excellent modulation in all conditions. The Entiat TR-E rolls on a set of Entity Boost 27.5+ wheels wrapped in Schwalbe Nobby Nic 27.5″ x 3.0″ tires.
The Entiat TR-E is finished with Entity Xpert stem, saddle, and handlebar, all of which balance weight savings with the kind of durability mountain biking demands. When all is said and done, this is a fun bike. Whether you are a newcomer to mountain biking or an experienced rider looking to get more out of your ride, the Entiat TR-E can ride faster with more control, climb steeper sections with better traction and negotiate trickier descents with more forgiveness. This is one bike to do it all and will reliably shepard you on mountain bike adventures for many years to come.
